Analyzing Scripture
Acts 17:10-11 - 10 Then the brethren immediately sent Paul and Silas away by night to Berea. When they arrived,
they went into the synagogue of the Jews. 11 These were more fair-minded than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness, and searched the Scriptures daily to find out whether these things were so.

2 Timothy 2:15 - Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

1 Peter 3:15 - But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts, and always be ready to give a defense to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you, with meekness and fear;
Proverbs 4:4-5 - 4 He also taught me, and said to me: "Let your heart retain my words; Keep my commands, and live. 5 Get wisdom! Get understanding! Do not forget, nor turn away from the words of my mouth.

     The above scriptures demonstrate how important and necessary it is for us to study and search the scriptures. God’s word is our life line.  David understood this – he says in Psalm 119:10-12 “10 With my whole heart have I sought thee: O let me not wander from thy commandments. 11 Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee. 12 Blessed art thou, O LORD: teach me thy statutes.”  Psalms 119 has 176 verses which speak passionately of God’s word, and all 176 verses, mostly without exception, mentions God's Word in some form.
